Moed Center for Zionist Education and Jewish Identity

Modern Orthodox, open to all.  Moed’s central pillars of engagement, usually in Hebrew but often in English are: Du-Siach, an intergenerational home-based conversation of values, using texts and activities around Friday night dinner tables; M’arba Kanfot, holiday programming highlighting the unique and diverse ethnic traditions in Modern Israel; Hessed V’Tzedek, a fellowship program for both religious and secular 6th graders to confront societal challenges, consider Jewish approaches to them and engage in hands on social justice work together; and Weekly Torah classes in English held:

Thursday mornings Parshat HaShavua (in English) with Rabbi Yair Silverman in the Zichron Yaakov Library, 4 Rehov HaDagan

Fridays 815 - 8.45am at Café Tishbi “Tefila Boot Camp: a quick examination of prayer and a jolt of caffeine” with Rabbi Silverman.

Sundays 8.45 – 9.45am Talmud with with Ilana Fodiman-Silverman at a private home.

Matan Zichron Yaakov Women’s Learning Program - open to people of all backgrounds. Courses held Wednesday mornings at Neve Habaron synagogue. Fee, but no one turned away for lack of funds. Contact Danielle Mehler for course and other information  Danielle.mehler@gmail.com
